Night Scores is a collection of graphic scores for night-time listening. Using a mixture of graphics and text, it evokes the sounds and silences of the night.
How to use:Graphic scores are musical scores, but instead of traditional notation, they use images, graphics, or text. Graphic scores can be used for traditional music making and is sometimes used by groups who focuses on improvisation or less traditional music practices. They are also more accessible than ‘normal’ scores, as you do not need to learn how to write music to read them. In this zine, I use graphic scores to encourage you, the reader, to listen. You can use the image as inspiration, listening for sounds it might suggest or remind you off. The scores and the zine is also a visual representation of my own night time listening experiences.
