close
“Close” is collaboration with poet Joe McBride.
Close is neither sound art nor poetry.
It is a meditation on the spaces between soundscapes and words, art and banality. It considers the meeting point of visceral sounds to an abstract and poetic 'interior monologue', external sounds to the internal, meaningful words to jibber jabber.
It is the imagined closeness of a fleeting thought in hypnagogia realised in a physical and sonic space, though never fixed nor defined.
